Growing up, I was hyper-focused on doing the “right thing” and being seen as “successful.”
📚 In college, I spent hours hunched over my tiny dorm room desk with sweaty palms and a tightness in my chest, scrolling through lists of student clubs, thinking, “I need my resume to look more impressive.”
My heart was in the right place, but my stress levels were through the roof.

My perfectionist tendencies and my frantic hours spent hunched over my laptop, perfecting my resume, had finally paid off. 🧠 I was surrounded by brilliant people, working with some of the biggest companies in the world, solving the world's biggest problems.
And (not to brag), but I was killing it! 💪 I dove in headfirst, volunteering for as many projects as I could...But as I started to stack up bigger responsibilities, my old perfectionist tendencies crept back in.
🌪️ When I shut my laptop at the end of the day, my body was exhausted and my mind was still online, spinning with worries about client emails and deadlines. I couldn’t turn it off, even when I tried. The tightness in my chest had turned into a steady pain, like I was stuck in a vice grip.
It seemed like everyone around me was holding it together, and I wasn’t.
On the outside, I was successful, but on the inside, I had been living in a burnt-out body, operating with a burnt-out brain, for YEARS.
I questioned WHY I was struggling - after all, I was doing all the "right" things - going to talk therapy, exercising regularly, journaling every morning, I even got on an SSRI - but nothing seemed to get at the root cause of my burnout.
Something needed to change.
That realization sparked a journey that taught me about myself and about burnout. I hired a mindset coach to address my burnt out brain, I worked with somatic therapists and coaches to heal my burnt out body, and I became a lifestyle design and habit-formation master to change my environment.
